soo i'm posting this cuz i decided to try and ask everybody i know if they can help. ok so my youth group is doing the 30 hour famine. What we are gonna do is fast for 30 hours...yes 30 hours...and we get people to sponsor us to fast for the 30 hours. The money that we get is given to world vision, who uses the money to buy food and supplies for starving families and especially children, in Africa. We do the 30 hours of fasting in order to experience the pain of hunger that these kids go through. Everyday there are 29,000 children under the age of 5 that die from hunger alone. That's one child every 6 seconds. So...I was wondering if all you people out there could help to try and feed these starving kids. You don't have to give a lot only like $1.00 or so will do. If you give a dollar, you save a child for a day...$30 saves a child for a month. any amount is fine. All i'm asking is to help these kids. I'm personally trying to get $1,000 by February 22nd (the day that we start fasting) so if you would like to help me in this cause just contact me before then to help feed some starving kids.
